The Singing Journey Retreat
with Virginia Schenck
Thursday, July 20 — 10:00 – 12:30
The Singing Journey Workshop uses the voice to connect more deeply with the body, mind, and self. Group chants, song circles, and improvisatory exercises are used with focus on breath, tone, movement, and focused listening to self and others. Members explore the vast array of tones they can employ and learn to integrate these into their whole being, expanding their palate of sounds. This workshop is especially designed for self-growth and development of the singing self through reflective, musical activities. Do not let the idea of singing scare you off! This is to explore the connection with vibration, body and voice – something we do every time we open our mouth! Come join us for an invigorating morning – you will leave enlivened and glad.
