Theology, cosmology and human consciousness are inextricably linked and have been evolving since the dawn of time. Our conception of God, the heavens, and our own eternal destiny is shaped by a number of factors, some of which are from the 21st century, and some of which date to prehistoric times.

While there are a number of models of consciousness we can draw upon, this workshop’s exploration will be grounded in the work of Fr. Thomas Keating and Dr. David Hawkins. Both perspectives provide practical insight into understanding humanity as a whole, and into ourselves as we personally engage our own transformational process.

The workshop will provide times for lecture, discussion, and guided individual inquiry. We’ll explore the evolution of human consciousness, the limits of what we know and believe, the mystery of the unknown, and how we can personally participate in the next step of human (and God’s) evolution. Lunch is provided.

ABOUT MICHAEL: Michael is a contemplative ‘monk in the world.’ For over 30 years, he has been consulting to major US industries, while living a contemplative rule of life of daily meditation, study and service. He has made annual retreats at St. Benedict’s monastery in Snowmass CO and elsewhere, studied with a number of contemplative thought leaders, been a member of a school devoted to personal transformation, and serves as a board advisor, frequent teacher and guest minister at The Church of Conscious Harmony in Austin TX. When he breaks away from his to-do list, Michael loves to hike in big nature with his wife, Pamela.
