Operations Director for Mary & Martha’s Place
Mary & Martha’s Place, founded in 1994, is a center for spiritual formation.  Program  participants are a diverse group of women at various stages of life who hold in creative tension the Christian tradition and the inclusive spirituality of the 21st century.  MMP offers book studies, classes, workshops, special events and rituals. This is a part-time, three-person office, and the Operations Director must work both independently and as part of the team.

The Operations Director is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the office. They are also instrumental in planning and working events, including the annual fall fundraiser and spring conference. The ideal candidate is a fast learner and a creative problem solver who is comfortable with technology, especially computers. Flexibility, willing collaboration, attention to detail and accountability are key traits for this role.

Hours: 15 hours per week,     10 am to 3 pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
Occasional weeknights or Saturdays for special events

Pay: $15 per hour

Areas of responsibility: General office administration, bookkeeping, communications and marketing. Daily tasks include include donor correspondence, maintenance of donor database, social media updates, and website maintenance, including eCommerce. Other regular tasks include class and special event support, communicating with outside accountant, and serving as Recording Secretary for monthly MMP Board meetings.

Required skills: Familiarity with Windows & Mac operating systems and QuickBooks. Word processing (e.g. Word/Pages/Apache Open Office), basic spreadsheet building and maintenance (e.g. Excel/Google Sheets/iOS Numbers) and bookkeeping (QuickBooks). Graphic design experience a plus!

Must be willing to learn: WordPress (including various plugins), PayPal, Chrome OS (including Gmail and Google Drive), Mail Chimp, Facebook Pages, Instagram
